Bio-……………

Aikawa Setsuna was born into royalty and was groomed to become leader of his home world Meiji. His home world had been under a long period of peace and prosperity. The Setsuna family ruled not only the planet of Meiji, but they also ruled two neighboring planets for several generations and they too experienced a long period of peace and prosperity. He would soon replace his father as leader of the trio of planets at a young age of 12 when his father died from illness. His mother too would pass shortly afterwards leaving him alone in the world to rule over billions of people.

With the help of advisers, he was able to grow into a gifted leader and a brilliant tactician. It was at the age of 25 that his skills were put into play during an uprising on one of the neighboring planets under his rule that demanded independence. It was here he would commanded his first fleet, outnumbered he swiftly crushed the uprising, making tactical and crippling strikes to the enemy. The battle ended with minimal casualties and re-established order is just a few days of battle. Soon word would spread to neighboring systems about the prosperity of the collective of planets Setsuna ruled and wanted him to join them as part of a traders coalition. These delegates representing planets of a nearby solar system were unknown to him taking caution to their offer. This invitation was simply a way to prevent his planets from becoming a powerful economic rival. Setsuna of course saw through this ploy and promptly rejected the offer quickly made new enemies that would later conspire against him.

The collection of planets in the nearby system would begin to plan an attack on his planets to force him into submission. By this time, many years had passed and Setsuna had just recently gotten married to a lovely woman name Miyuki. She was a child of a famous scholarly parents whom created many great works of literature. His life was at this moment was perfect, the people of his planet loved him and was doing well and his heart and soul belonged to his wife. Unknowingly that very peace would soon be interrupted, with the rival planets that he had rejected many years back amassing a large fleet in an attempt to crush Setsuna’s fleet and force him to join the coalition.

It was the winter season on his home world when he received word that one of his planets had come under attack by an unknown fleet. Quickly and without hesitation he rallied his prized fleet and charged towards the enemy. Once again his fleet was outnumbered, but to him numbers were simply just that. What good does a large fleet if the fleet is made of nothing but lemmings piloting garbage cans in space? Setsuna always prided himself on the quality of those under his command and the few but advance ships he had in his fleet. He always preferred to keep his fleet compact and cohesive rather than a mass of cannon fodder. It is this very same fleet that would smash head first into the swarm of flies he considered his enemies and quickly the enemy fleet was on the verge of defeat. Despite all the advantages Setsuna had, there was no way he could have known of the cowardly and evil plot the enemy would put into play. The enemy fleet had dispatched a small strike squadron to his home world and had begun to drop tactical bombs onto it causing mass destruction, the target? His capital city and his wife. By the time he had realized what was going, he would retreat his flagship to his home world to defend it leaving the rest of his fleet to mop up the rest of the enemy.

The capital city had been struck by multiple bombing runs and as he rushed towards his capital building, it was nothing but flaming rubble. After some searching he had found his wife and knew immediately that she was dead. His heart sank and his mind was filled with nothing but sorrow as he clutched her in his arms, his sorrow would be felt across the population. Soon his heart was filled with rage and his mind thinking nothing but of revenge. Gathering every able ship into a fleet of which would be later named “The Unity’s Sorrow”, he set off tracking the origin of the enemy fleet that had attacked his home world and murdered his wife. It didn’t take long for his fleet to find the collection of planets that had launched the attack and Setsuna would demand the enemy bring forth the leader who was behind the attack. When his demands was not met, he flew into a blind fury and unleashed hell upon the collection of six planets in the system, firing everything he hand down upon the population leaving no one alive when he was done.

After his retaliation, he had returned home a changed man. He was no longer the vibrant and happy leader as he had been for many years. His eyes were now cold and silent, all of his emotions having left him leaving behind an empty shell wondering why all of this had come upon him. As he was beginning to question his existence and contemplated on ending it, the Advent race arrived on his planet. He had no idea what the Illumina were or who the Empress was and didn’t know whether or not they had come to attack them too. He was sure they were hostile but he was in no condition to lead another defense or offense so he simply decided to accept his fate and allowed the Illumina to land in his home world and the Empress to come before him. He was surprised when the Empress had come to offer him salvation and a promise that he would be reunited with his wife again. He was at first skeptical but it was either her presence or her inspiring words of unity or the fact that it was possible that he could be reunited with Miyuki again, she had reawakened the soul within him. He would be tasked with convincing the populous of his planets that joining the Advents, Illumina that they would be apart of the unity of which the belief in the unity would empower them further and lead them to transcendance. It didn’t take long for the population to rally behind their leader who had placed their trust in him taking the first step and joined the Illumina,

His steadfast dedication and unwavering belief in the unity would allow him to quickly become one of the Hierarchs Chosen and a Arbiter for the Illumina. By age 45, he had been battle hardened and fought in many engagements and had come out alive regardless of the situation. His fleet retro-fitted with advent technology would make his fleet one of many valuable tactical forces utilized by the Advent. His battle patterns while still unique, had changed more and more each time the fleet was engaged in battle. As a result, casualties in his fleet had grown significantly as he saw each engagement as one step closer to the promise that he would be reunited with his wife and cared little for those who fought for him and perished. He never really questioned the actions and orders taken by the Illumina, he believed it was all for the greater good. On occasion a part of his mind would wonder if the Advents were truly looking out for the well being of all the lives of the galaxy they were out to save or was there another agenda he was unaware of.
