The Illumina are an advanced sect of the Advent employed directly by the Empress as both her inquisition and marshalls, with their powerfull psychers they scan the thoughts of countless worlds within and even out of the Advent empire, quelling anything that would threaten the unity and its collective mind. They are the police and the jury, they are the will of the empress and the unity.
At the top of the Illumina is the Empress's consort, Nautilus, a psycher of whom equals that of the council in power, with the Empress and the collective mind of course surpassing. The consort is a dark man though a beacon of light his mind is that of a shadow on the advent people, listening and twisting the thoughts of the populace and even those of the Advent's enemies. Brilliant though he is, the man is a recluse and is rarely seen beyond the side of the Empress, only the chosen ever see him alone in person.
The Illumina HQ is deep within Advent territory almost near the homeworld itself if merely only a couple of solar systems away, the planet is dubbed Aurora, in honor of the Empress. Outside of this world the consort is represented in Anima form, where he is escorted on the Illumina Flagship the Yamato. Formaly his anima body is represented in gold, but it is said and witnessed that he controls countless more of which are disquised among the various Advent forces.
